我国紫薇属植物的育种现状及发展方向
Current Status and Future Perspectives of Lagerstroemia Breeding in China
摘要
Abstract
China is endowed with abundant germplasm resources of Lagerstroemia species,characterized by a wide array of cultivated varieties that exhibit prominent ornamental traits such as large vibrant flowers,distinctive plant architectures,and summer-flowering habits,making them indispensable landscape ornamental trees.This review systematically summarizes the current status of Lagerstroemia germplasm resources in China,focusing on their geographical distribution and cultivar classification.A comparative analysis of breeding advancements between domestic and international programs is conducted,evaluating disparities in terms of the quantity and quality of new cultivars as well as methodological innovations in breeding techniques.Furthermore,by integrating contemporary application patterns and market demands for Lagerstroemia in China,this study identifies critical challenges in current breeding practices.Based on these findings,primary objectives for germplasm innovation during the"15th Five-Year Plan"period are proposed:(1)Clarify and catalog existing Lagerstroemia germplasm resources through systematic surveys and establish standardized germplasm repositories.(2)Develop novel dwarf and compact cultivars suitable for large-scale pot cultivation and commercial promotion.(3)Breed new cultivars with flower colors and novel varieties with ornamental colorful foliage exhibiting high market acceptance.关键词
