Abstract
Objective To evaluate the validity and reliability of the Chinese version of the precursors to boredom scales(PBS)in adolescents,and investigate its transgender measurement equivalence.Methods A total of 1 323 students from grades 5 to 12 in primary and middle schools were selected as participants and measured by using PBS.The PBS construct validity was verified through confirmatory factor analysis,and the validity of the criteria was verified by using basic psychological needs scales(BPNS)and generalized anxiety disorder scale(GAD-7).Results The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the eight-factor model fitted the data well(χ2/df=9.82,CFI=0.92,TLI=0.90,RMSEA=0.08).The total score of PBS was significantly negatively correlated with total score of BPNS(r=-0.57,P<0.01)and significantly positively correlated with total score of GAD-7(r=0.45,P<0.01).The Cronbach's alpha coefficient for internal consistency of PBS was 0.95,indicating good retest reliability(interclass correlation coefficient=0.69).The morphological equivalence,weak equivalence,and strong equivalence models of PBS on gender variables were all valid.Conclusion The Chinese version of PBS has good validity and reliability among Chinese adolescents,which is an effective tool to measure precursors to boredom.关键词
