Abstract

To explore the dispersion effect of the surfactant on single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs),the rosin-based amine oxide surfactant(R-6-3-AO)was synthesized from dehydroabietic acid and 6-aminocaproic acid.The structure of R-6-3-AO was confirmed by proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1 H NMR).When the critical micelle concentration(CMC)was measured to be 0.36 mmol/L,and the corresponding surface tension(γCMC)was 35.66 mN/m.The viscoelasticity of the hydrogel was tested by dynamic rheology.At 5℃,R-6-3-AO could form a hydrogel when its concentration reaches 10 mmol/L.With the increase of the surfactant concentration,the mechanical strength of the hydrogel gradually increased.The self-assembly behavior of R-6-3-AO was analyzed by cryo-transmission electron microscopy(Cryo-TEM),and it was found that R-6-3-AO formed aggregates with core-shell structures.The detection results of ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy(UV-Vis),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)showed that SWNTs were well dispersed and stable in R-6-3-AO hydrogel,which could be maintained for at least 8 months at a temperature of 25 ℃.This indicated that the rosin-based surfactant had significant advantages in the dispersion of SWNTs,providing an effective strategy for the stable dispersion of nanomaterials.
