Research Status and Prospect of the Influence of Direct Coupling Biomass on Coal-fired Power Generation System

Abstract
Biomass was a CO2-neutral resource and renewable energy,and its direct coupling with coal in coal-fired boilers was a promising strategy to reduce pollutant emissions.In this paper,the influence law of direct coupling system of coal and biomass was summarized from the aspects of combustion characteristics,slagging characteristics,boiler efficiency,exhaust gas(mainly CO2,NOx,SOx)emissions and particulate matter emissions.It was concluded that the co-combustion of biomass could improve the ignition and burnout characteristics of raw coal,significantly reduce the emissions of CO2,NOx,SOx and particulate matter,and reduce the content of unburned carbon.The influence of different biomass types on the boiler system was obviously different.Compared with biomass such as straw and stalks,the co-firing of sawdust had little effect on the slagging of coal-fired power generation system,and the slagging formed in the range of 10%to 30%was medium slagging.Different types of boilers had different proportions of biomass co-combustion.It was necessary to consider the limit co-combustion ratio of coal-fired units from the safe operation of boiler equipment and the control of environmental protection indicators.Finally,the research emphasis and direction of the direct coupling of biomass and coal for combustion power generation were prospected.关键词
