摘要

Abstract

In order to improve the functionality of fibrous materials and enhance their application level in the biomedical field,from the perspective of surface functionalization of textile fiber materials,a series of surface functionalization technology,including surface coating,layer-by-layer self-assembly,atomic layer deposition,chemical vapor deposition,plasma treatment,wet chemistry,surface graft,chemical crosslinking,etc were introduced with their mechanisms,advantages and disadvantages,and latest research progress.Compared with the bulk functionalization,the surface functionalization could remain the bulk structure and characteristics,give fiber material with new functions such as hydrophilicity,antibacterial property and biocompatibility,etc.The surface functionalization treatment had become a ideal routine to functionalize the medical fibers due to its unique benefits,like simple operation,low cost,high pertinency and broad application.It is considered that there are still numerous issues in the research and industrialization of surface functionalization of medical fibers,such as the over-loss of bulk structure,poor durability,cumbersome process,inferior reproducibility and serious environmental pollution,etc.In the future,perfect evaluation standards should be established in the field of surface functionalization of medical fibers.The specialized property such as functionality,durability,and biosafety of the fibers after the surface treatment should be clearly specified to further meet the development requirement of modern medical fibers.
