Abstract

In order to expand the application of Lyocell spunlaced nonwoven in the field of wound dressings,to endow it with excellent antibacterial property,high moisture absorption and breathability,the Lyocell spunlaced nonwoven was modified by carboxethylation and further treated with chitosan quaternary ammonium salt solution spraying for antibacterial finishing.The main process parameters of alk treatment and etherification and the concentration of chitosan quaternary ammonium salt finishing solution were optimized.The moisture absorption,breathability and antibacterial property of Lyocell spunlaced nonwoven before and after modification were tested.The results showed that the optimal process parameters for carboxymeth modification were sodium hydroxide mass fraction 15%,alkali immersion time 25 min,alkali-acid molar ratio 1.75∶1,etherification temperature 60℃,and etherification time 5.0 h.Under these conditions,the moisture absorption capacity of the treated Lyell spunlaced nonwoven could be reached 25.2 g/g.When the mass concentration of chitosan quaternary ammonium salt was reached 10 g/L,the inhibition rates of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were 84%and 99%,respectively.Air permeability of the material after treatment was 1 793 mm/s.It is considered that Lyocell spunlaced nonwoven modified carboxymethylation and chitosan quaternary ammonium salt treatment has good moisture absorption,antibacterial and breathable property,and it is suitable for the field of wound dressings.
