Abstract
Objective To investigate the current status of information literacy of nursing students and analyze its influencing factors. Methods A total of 446 nursing students from two universities in Hubei Province from April to June 2023 were selected by convenient sampling. They were surveyed using the General Information Questionnaire,Information Literacy Scale,Innovative Self-efficacy Scale,Innovative Behavior Scale, and Error Aversion Culture Scale. Results The sample's total score of information literacy was 74.33±11.03.There was positive correlation between information literacy and innovative self-efficacy and innovative behavior(r=0.662,r=0.510,all P<0.01),and negative correlation with error aversion culture(r=-0.512,P<0.01).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age,English proficiency, whether attending literature retrieval courses or not, frequency of school library use, innovative self-efficacy,innovation behavior, and error aversion culture entered the regression equation(P<0.05),accounting for 58.0%of the total variance. Conclusion Nursing students' information literacy is at a medium level.Nursing educators should focus on younger nursing students, and those with poor English, have not attended literature retrieval related courses, and have lower library usage rate.Improved sense of innovation self-efficacy and innovative behavior, and a more relaxed and positive attitude toward mistakes are beneficial to improve information literacy of nursing students.关键词
