Impact of seminar combined with progressive case-based learning on clinical thinking of nursing undergraduates

Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of seminar combined with progressive case-based learning on clinical thinking among nursing undergraduates.Methods A cluster sampling was adopted to recruit 191 nursing undergraduates of grade 2019 in one university of Hubei Province for one-month teaching of Surgical Nursing.The control group received traditional case-based teaching,while the experimental group seminar combined with progressive case-based learning.Clinical thinking and case analysis assessment score were compared between the two groups.Results There were statistically significant improvements in critical thinking and evidence-based thinking,and higher case analysis assessment score(all P<0.05)in the experimental group,indicating statistical significance.Conclusion The integration of progressive case-based learning with seminar demonstrates superior efficacy in cultivating critical thinking and evidence-based thinking among nursing undergraduates compared to traditional case-based teaching.This approach shows potential in enhancing systematic thinking in nursing undergraduates.关键词
