Relationship between serum SP-A,IL-10 levels and the severity of RSV pneumonia in children

Abstract
Aim To investigate the relationship between serum surfactant protein-A(SP-A),interleukin-10(IL-10)levels and the severity of children with respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)pneumonia.Methods A total of 96 children with RSV pneu-monia were selected as the RSV group and further divided into a mild group(75 cases)and a severe group(21 cases)based on the severity of the disease.Additionally,50 healthy children were selected as the control group.The levels of serum SP-A and IL-10 were measured in each group.Spearman's correlation analysis was used to evaluate the association between serum SP-A,IL-10 levels and disease severity,and the receiver operating characteristic curve was plotted to analyze the predictive value of serum SP-A and IL-10 for the severity of children with RSV pneumonia.Results The levels of serum SP-A and IL-10 in the RSV group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The levels of serum SP-A and IL-10 in the severe group were higher than those in the mild group(P＜0.05).The levels of serum SP-A and IL-10 were positively correlated with the severity of RSV pneumonia(P＜0.05).The combination of SP-A and IL-10 had a good predictive value for the severity of children with RSV pneumonia.Conclusion The levels of serum SP-A and IL-10 in children with RSV pneumonia are elevated and positively correlated with the severity of the dis-ease.The combined detection of serum SP-A and IL-10 levels can provide a reference for evaluating the severity of children with RSV pneumonia.关键词
