非农就业对农业技术效率的影响研究
Off-Farm Labor Participation and Agricultural Technical Efficiency:Evidence from China's Major Grain-producing Areas
摘要
Abstract
This paper estimates the correlation between off-farm labor participation and agri-cultural productivity,contextualized within food security strategies.We find that off-farm labor participation will not pose a threat to food security and will even promote agricultural technical ef-ficiency,through resource allocation and the production method improvement.In addition,the effect of non-agricultural labor on improving agricultural technical efficiency is greater in the northern region with its scale advantage.This paper provides a new perspective to explain farmers'grain-growing resilience and the sustainability of food security,and provides new evidence for pol-icies to encourage non-agricultural transformation and promote agricultural technical efficiency.关键词
