Abstract

Calcium sulfate products are widely used and have a large market demand.In recent years,the company's production of calcium sulfate has gradually increased,but some of it is affected by impurities,resulting in low whiteness and limited resource utilization.This study systematically investigated the effects of solid-liquid ratio,stirring speed,washing time,and washing solution type on impurity removal efficiency using carbonized slag from the magnesium bicarbonate section as raw material.The results showed that most soluble impurities can be removed by water washing,and acidic washing solution is effective in removing insoluble impurities.However,the impurity removal effect of dilute sulfuric acid is better than that of acidic magnesium sulfate wastewater.Under the conditions of a stirring speed of 300 r/min and a stirring time of 40 min,0.2 mol/L dilute sulfuric acid was used to wash the carbonized slag.The removal rates of Mg,Fe,and Cl-were 91.33%,50.00%,and 81.32%,respectively,and the whiteness increased from 60.16%to 65.36%.
