麻杏苦甘汤的急性毒性实验研究
Experimental study on acute toxicity of Maxing Kugan Decoction(麻杏苦甘汤)

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the safety of Maxing Kugan Decoction(麻杏苦甘汤,MXKGD)through acute toxicity experiments in rats and mice,providing a basis for clinical application.Methods Since the median lethal dose(LD50)of MXKGD via intragastric ad-ministration could not be determined,the maximum tolerable dose(MTD)was assessed using the highest achievable concentration and the maximum intragastric administration volume tolerable to the animals.Results The maximum concentration of MXKGD was 3.2g/mL,with the maximum intragastric volumes of 20 mL/kg for rats and 40 mL/kg for mice.Administered twice daily,the doses for rats and mice were 128 g/kg and 256 g/kg,respectively.These doses were 130.17 and 260.34 times the daily oral dose for adults(based on an average adult body weight of 60 kg).No animal deaths occurred during the experiment.Over 14 days of observation,no significant toxic reactions were observed,and there were no statistically significant differences in body weight,food intake and water consumption.Most of the serum biochemical parameters showed no significant changes,and minor deviations in individual parameters remained within normal ranges.Gross anatomy examinations on day 2 and after 14 days of recovery,as well as pathological assessments of the heart,liver,spleen,lungs,kidneys,thyroid,and reproductive system,revealed no abnormalities.Conclusion MXKGD caused no damage to ani-mals and showed no acute toxic reaction,demonstrating its safety and reliability for clinical use.These findings provide a robust founda-tion for its further development.关键词
