Abstract

The structural layout and stress distribution of hybrid girder cable-stayed bridges with high and low pylons for high-speed railways exhibit asymmetry.To reasonably determine the design parameters of steel-concrete composite sections,this study,taking the 230 m main span hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge with high and low pylons on Fuyang-Huaibei high-speed railway as the background,investigated the position selection,mechanical property analysis,and structural parameters of steel-concrete composite section using finite element analysis software.The research results showed that when the steel-concrete boundary point on the small mileage side was located at 16.75 m from the low pylon to the mid-span,and the steel-concrete boundary point on the large mileage side was located at 13.25 m from the auxiliary pier to the main pylon,the main girder experienced reasonable stress,the construction conditions were suitable,and the impact on waterway operation was minimal.The overall alignment of the main girder during operation and the long-wave irregularities affecting the ride complied with the relevant requirements.The stress distribution in each component of the steel-concrete composite section was uniform,the stiffness transition of the main girder was smooth,the static performance was good,and the overall structural design was reasonable,which met the demand for stable force transmission between the concrete and steel beams.When the thickness of the bearing plate was 50 to 80 mm,the stress level and fatigue issues could be effectively controlled.A moderate increase in the shear stiffness of the shear connectors could effectively improve the stress distribution of the bearing plate.When the thickness of the longitudinal stiffening plate was 24 mm,it could provide sufficient stiffness contribution to the bearing plate while effectively controlling the stress concentration phenomena.
