The establishment of designated pathways for animal disease prevention and control(referred to as designated pathways)is crucial to prevent and control animal diseases.In order to improve the construction of designated pathways for animal disease prevention and control in Shandong Province,the construction history as well as the practices of management in their standardization,normalization,informatization and real time were briefly described,shortcomings found therein were analyzed,such as limited layout,insufficient efforts in fighting against illegal activities,poor level of operation and business capacity,followed by constructive recommendations including coordinated optimization,digital intelligence construction,regional law enforcement collaboration,with a view to guiding the management of animal transportation to prevent any spread of animal diseases.
