Impact of integrated medical insurance system on rural labor mobility

Abstract
Objective To analyze the impact of integrated medical insurance system on rural labor mobil-ity based on the data of the China Family Panel Studies,and to provide suggestions for promoting urban-rural inte-grated development.Methods The Difference-in-Differences(DID)model was used to analyze the panel data of the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)in 2014 and 2018.Results The integration of medical insurance could significantly promote the mobility of rural labor(13％,P＜0.01),mainly reflected in promoting the intra-county mobility of rural labor(6.9％,P＜0.01),but the role in promoting inter-county(0.5％,P＞0.1)and inter-provincial mobility(1.4％,P＞0.1)was not obvious.The integration of medical insurance had a stronger promo-ting effect on the intra-county mobility of rural labor with relatively poor health status and the"older generation"of labor.The integration of medical insurance could promote the mobility of labor by improving the health human cap-ital level of rural labor and reducing medical economic risks.Conclusions It is proposed to steadily improve the coordination level of basic medical insurance,reasonably determine the benefit guarantee level,improve the multi-level medical security system,and strengthen the countermeasures of safety production and occupational health.关键词
