Abstract
The periodontal training program is an essential format for promoting standardized periodontal treatment con-cepts and techniques,which is of great significance in rapidly increasing regional periodontal diagnosis and treatment lev-els.Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology(hereinafter referred to as"PKU Stomatology")has over 30 years of experience in training postgraduate students in periodontology,playing a pivotal role in advancing continuing ed-ucation in periodontology across China.Over the past two decades,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University has sent physicians in batches to Department of Periodontology of PKU Stomatology for advanced studies.This article compares the connotation and model transformations of periodontal training of PKU Stomatology from the perspectives of two generations of trainees,reflecting the developmental characteristics of clinical periodontology.It also provides refer-ences for contemporary periodontal trainees to establish learning objectives that align with current advancements,plan their study schedules in a proper way,and enhance their clinical competencies continuously.关键词
