摘要

Abstract

The early diagnosis rate and survival rate of esophageal cancer in China urgently need improvement.Conducting screening in high-incidence areas and among high-risk populations is crucial for enhancing prevention and control effectiveness.Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy combined with pathology is currently a reliable method for screening and diagnosing esophageal cancer and its precancerous lesions.With the popularization of endoscopic technology and the continuous advancement of early diagnosis and treatment of cancer in China,the coverage of population screening for esophageal cancer has gradually expanded,and the early diagnosis rate has increased year by year.In recent years,significant progress has been made in esophageal cytology and body fluid biomarker detection methods for esophageal cancer screening,which are expected to be applied in pre-endoscopic population initial screening and risk stratification,improving screening effectiveness and efficiency.Combining upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with non-endoscopic screening new technologies,covering both population screening and opportunistic screening populations,and constructing and promoting a comprehensive screening and prevention model for esophageal cancer is an important task currently faced.
