Definition and evaluation of criteria for left bundle branch area pacing

Abstract
Left bundle branch pacing(LBBP),as an important form of conduction system pacing,not only preserves physiological ventricular synchrony but also ensures the safety of myocardial pacing.Clinically,left bundle branch area pacing(LBBAP)can be classified based on the presence of left bundle capture evidence into LBBP,left ventricular septal pacing(LVSP)or unclassified LBBAP where LBB capture testing is not performed or LBB capture is uncertain.Due to the broad target where LBB is implanted and the abundance of surrounding myocardium,LBBAP exhibits diverse paced morphologies.Given that the conduction velocity of the bundle is significantly faster than that of the myocardium,capture of the left bundle branch results in distinct changes in paced characteristics,including alterations in the paced QRS morphology,stimulus-to-left ventricular activation time,and intracardiac electrogram characteristics.These electrophysiological features can serve as key indicators for assessing left bundle branch capture.This article reviews the definitions,classifications,and evaluation criteria of LBBAP and explores its feasibility and advantages in clinical applications.关键词
