Study on the Influencing Factors of Patients'Willingness to Use Mobile Medical Applications in Public Hospitals of Henan Province

Abstract
Objective To provide empirical study on the impact of 9 variables on the willingness of patients in the public hospitals to use mobile medical applications,and improve policies for patients'use of mobile medical applications.Methods Based on in-depth interviews with 21 individuals,an indicator system and 8 hypotheses were developed.A questionnaire survey was conducted on 486 indi-viduals,and descriptive analysis,differential analysis,correlation analysis,and regression analysis were performed on the data.Results Eight hypotheses regarding the relationship between nine variables and patients'willingness to use mobile medical applications were es-tablished.There was no significant difference in gender(P>0.05)among the 10 variables such as"willingness to use","perceived behavioral control",and"subjective norms".There was a significant difference in age(P<0.05)among"willingness to use","pro-fessional perception",and"public event risk perception".The correlation of 9 variables was greater than 0,showing a positive correla-tion,while"risk perception"was less than 0,which was negatively correlated with"willingness to use".The regression coefficients for"perceived behavioral control"and"health awareness"was 0.199 and 0.252,respectively.The regression coefficients for"subjective norms","public event risk perception",and"professional perception"was 0.217,0.14,and 0.227,respectively.And the regression coefficients for"risk perception","usefulness perception",and"information acquisition perception"was-0.401,0.246,and 0.111,respectively.Conclusion"Age"affects the patients'willingness to use mobile medical applications,with middle-aged and young pa-tients as the main users.The overall behavioral intention of the survey subjects tends to be positive to use of mobile medical applica-tions.Factors as"perceived behavior control","health awareness","subjective norms","public event risk perception","professional perception","usefulness perception",and"information acquisition perception"have a positive impact on patients'willingness to use the public hospital mobile medical applications,while factors as"risk perception"has a negative impact on it.Mobile medical application developers should continuously update and improve their features and content,and strengthen information security construction.Hospi-tals should timely update their prevention and control measures,improve patients'health awareness,and establish effective communica-tion channels.The government should improve laws and regulations,strengthen publicity for the uneven distribution of age groups,and meet diverse needs in a more practical and precise manner.关键词
