Effect of PDCA Cycle on the Management of Automatic Drug Dispensing System in the Fever Clinic in a Hospital

Abstract
Objective To improve the successful drug delivery rate of the automatic drug dispensing system in the fever clinic.Methods The prescription dispensing data of the automatic drug dispensing system in the fever clinic in the hospital from November 21 to December 20,2022(before implementing PDCA,4 372 dispensing prescriptions,the control group)and from September 21 to October 20,2023(after implementing PDCA,4 053 dispensing prescriptions,the observation group)were collected to analyze the reasons for unsucessful drug delivery failures of the automatic drug dispensing system in the fever clinic,the targeted strategies were established,and the successful drug delivery rates between the two groups were compared.Results The successful drug delivery rate in the observation group was 99.06%,which was significantly higher than 94.69%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementation of PDCA cycle management for the automatic drug dispensing system in the fever clinic can effectively improve the success rate of drug delivery,and guarantee the smooth operation of patients'self-service medication collection mode.关键词
