Abstract
Objective To evaluate the application effect of the image inquiry system for single-dose oral drug dispensing machine(referred to as the inquiry system)to verify the single-dose oral drugs.Methods The image information of single-dose oral drugs from the inpatient pharmacy in the Xiamen Branch of Zhongshan Hospital,Fudan University was collected to establish an image database and construct the inquiry system.The error correction rate of pharmacists on single-dose oral drugs,the frequency of nurses'phone consultations on inquiring about drug properties,and the duration of querying the properties of newly added and dismantled drugs before(from May to November 2021,the control group)and after(from January to July 2022,the observation group)using the inquiry system.Results The error correction rate of pharmacists on single-dose oral drugs in the observation group was 95.59%,which was significantly higher than 82.76%in the control group(P<0.05).The frequency of nurses'phone consultations on inquiring about drug properties was(7.57±1.40)times per month,which was significantly fewer than the(42.57±6.37)times per month in the control group(P<0.05).The average duration of querying the properties of newly added and dismantled drugs was(8.33±0.79)s,which was significantly shorter than(44.08±3.49)s in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The inquiry system can quickly carry out the verification of dismantled drugs,improve the accuracy of drug verification,reduce errors,improve the work efficiency of pharmacists and nurses,and ensure the patients'medication safety.关键词
