Abstract

Objective To improve the quality standard of Mongolian medicinal herb Cymbaria dahurica,and to provide a reference for its development and utilization.Methods Qualitative identification of Cymbaria dahurica was carried out by the morphological identification,microscopic identification,and thin-layer chromatography(TLC)method.The fingerprint of Cymbaria dahurica was established by the high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)method,the content of its main components was determined,and the fingerprint of Cymbaria dahurica was established by the Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprinting of Traditional Chinese Medicine(2021 Version).Results The leaves of Cymbaria dahurica were covered with white silk hairs or short hairs,and there were alternating scales on the rhizomes.The stems were clustered,the leaves were opposite,and the inflorescence was terminal.The microscopic characteristics of Cymbaria dahurica powder included non-glandular hairs,glandular hairs,stomata,phloem fibers,wood fibers,pore-like ducts,threaded ducts,and pollen grains.The TLC spots of Cymbaria dahurica were clear.Ten common peaks were identified in the fingerprint,and peak 7 was identified as luteolin(principal component).The similarity between the fingerprint of 10 batches of Cymbaria dahurica samples and the reference fingerprint was greater than 0.91,except for sample XB-3 which had a similarity of 0.875.The content of luteolin in 10 batches of Cymbaria dahurica was in the range of 0.112-0.584 mg/g(n=2).The content determination results of the principal component in 10 batches of Cymbaria dahurica showed significant differences,which might be due to differences in harvesting regions and times,processing,and storage methods.Conclusion The established qualitative and quantitative methods for Cymbaria dahurica are simple,accurate,and reproducible,scientic,reasonable,which can be used for the quality evaluation of Cymbaria dahurica.
