Advances in Application of fMRI in Studying Central Mechanism of Acupuncture Treatment for Migraine
摘要
Abstract
Migraine is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent attacks,often presenting as unilateral,moderate-to-severe pulsating pain.It has a high prevalence and significantly impacts on patients' quality of life.Acupuncture has been shown to be highly effective in treating migraines without side effects,yet its central mechanisms of action remain unclear.Functional MRI(fMRI)enables precise localization of specific cortical regions,providing valuable support for investigating the central mechanisms underlying acupuncture treatment for migraines.This study reviews current research on the application of fMRI in central studies of migraines,summarizes abnormal brain functional networks in migraine patients,and examines the improvements in these networks following acupuncture treatment.By doing so,it offers new insights into the mechanisms of acupuncture in migraine therapy.关键词
