Abstract
Objective:To compare the effect of small incision extracapsular cataract extraction(SIECE)and phacoemulsification in the treatment of hard nucleus cataract(HNC).Method:A total of 80 patients with HNC who admitted to Jingzhou Third People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2024 were selected,and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with phacoemulsification,and the observation group was treated with SIECE.The tear film function,visual acuity,corneal condition,quality of life and complications were compared between two groups.Result:The break-up time(BUT)in the observation group at 1 month after operation was longer than that in the control group,the Schirmer Ⅰ test(SⅠT)and subjective dry eye symptom questionnaire(SDES)score were lower than those in the control group,and the uncorrected visual acuity was higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The corneal endothelial cell density in the observation group at 1 month after operation was higher than that in the control group,and the corneal thickness and average cell area were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The quality of life scores of the observation group at 1 month after operation was higher than that of the control group,and the complications were less than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:SIECE is more effective in the treatment of HNC,it can reduce corneal cell damage,accelerate tear film function recovery,improving visual acuity,improve quality of life,and has fewer complications.关键词
