Four-dimensional Pathways of Vocational Education in Expanding Middle-income Groups

Abstract
Expanding the middle-income population is a critical step towards achieving common prosperity.As a cornerstone of building a skills-oriented society,vocational education plays an essential role in providing high-quality employment and cultivating skilled talents,serving as a powerful driving force for enlarging the middle-income group and advancing common prosperity.Based on a four-dimensional framework—"education empowerment,job quality enhancement,cultural reform,and income distribution optimization"—vocational education can:develop a modern vocational education system integrating"vertical connectivity,horizontal integration,and multi-directional collaboration";implement employment promotion strategies combining"local context adaptation,precision support,and regional cooperation";foster a social value system emphasizing"labor dignity,skill recognition,and narrative empowerment";and refine an income regulation mechanism blending"market-based pricing,policy safeguards,and targeted incentives".These approaches address structural challenges such as limited career development opportunities for skilled workers and income stagnation,offering actionable pathways for constructing an olive-shaped society.关键词
