Abstract
In recent years, the incidence of tumors has continued to rise, with a rapid progression.Western medicine primarily relies on surgical resection, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy for treatment of the disease, which often bring a series of adverse reactions, particularly gastrointestinal reactions, leading to poor survival and quality of life of patients.Chinese medicine offers certain advantages in the prevention and treatment of tumors. It can effectively intervene before tumor formation, improving patient survival and quality of life, while also effectively avoid the intolerable physical conditions and various adverse reactions after chemotherapy. In Chinese medicine, tumors fall under the category of"cancer toxins".Prolonged exposure to cancer toxins depletes body fluids, and chemotherapy damages the body's vital energy, thereby disrupting the dynamic balance of Yin(阴)and Yang(阳)within the body, causing Qi(气)disorder, affecting the spleen and stomach, and implicating the liver and gallbladder, thus triggering this condition.Based on the theory of"dispersing and reaching the Shaoyang(少阳)",clinical treatment for gastrointestinal reactions after chemotherapy in cancer patients aims to use the Shaoyang as a pivot to regulate the middle Jiao(中焦),thereby smoothing Qi movement, promoting communication between the upper and lower body, and distributing interior and exterior. With the Xiaochaihu decoction(小柴胡汤)as the foundation,it is supplemented with medications that can benefit Qi,strengthen the spleen, and soothe the liver, thereby eliminating dampness and phlegm, harmonizing Yin and Yang, and ensuring smooth ascending and descending functions, thus alleviating gastrointestinal discomfort.关键词
