Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of the integrative medicine in the treatment of oral cancer.Methods:Randomized controlled clinical trials of the integrative medicine in the treatment of oral cancer in PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Embase,CBM,Wanfang Database,VIP Database and CNKI were searched by computer.The search period was from the establishment of the database to April 19,2024.The relevant data was extracted and the quality evaluation was carried out.Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.4 software.Results:A total of 12 studies were included,including 892 patients.The results showed that compared with Western medicine alone,the integrative medicine treatment could effectively improve the treatment efficiency of patients with oral cancer,increase the proportion of CD4+cells and CD4+/CD8+cells,and reduce the proportion of CD8+cells and the levels of serum CEA,NSE and CA19-9.White blood cell level,nausea and vomiting,gastrointestinal reaction,peripheral neurotoxicity were decreased,but there was no statistical significance between the two treatment methods in myelosuppression.In the progression-free survival rate,the treatment of the integrative medicine could significantly improve the 1 year and 2 years survival of patients after treatment compared with Western medicine alone.Conclusion:In the treatment of oral cancer,the integrative medicine is superior to Western medicine alone,which can effectively improve the efficacy of radiotherapy and chemotherapy,improve immune function,reduce the incidence of adverse reactions,and prolong survival.However,large samples and high-quality clinical randomized controlled trials are still needed for verification.关键词
