Application of profunda artery perforator flap in postoperative tongue cancer defect reconstruction:a case report and literature review
摘要
Abstract
Objective To report the clinical characteristics,treatment process,and application of profunda ar-tery perforator flap(PAPF)for postoperative tongue defect reconstruction in a 3 5-year-old male with tongue cancer,combined with a literature review to summarize its advantages and provide insights for clinical practice.Methods A case of left tongue squamous cell carcinoma was diagnosed.After preoperative evaluation,the pa-tient underwent"radical resection of left tongue,jaw,and neck+left PAPF transfer reconstruction+glosso-plasty"under general anesthesia.The advantages of PAPF were analyzed through case reporting and literature re-view.Results The flap survived completely with primary wound healing.Optimal tongue morphology,mastica-tion,and swallowing functions were restored.The donor site exhibited minimal scarring and high patient satisfac-tion.Literature review highlighted PAPF's advantages:consistent withperforator anatomy,sufficient tissue vol-ume,and high harvesting success rate.Conclusion The deep femoral artery perforator flap demonstrates con-cealed donor-site incision,anatomical stability,functional adaptability,and low donor-site damage,making it a critical option for post-tongue cancer reconstruction,particularly in patients with high demands for functional and aesthetic outcomes.关键词
