The role and prospect of endoplasmic reticulum stress mediated pyroptosis in cancer therapy
摘要
Abstract
Cancer ranks as one of the leading causes of death globally.Traditional treatments,including sur-gery,radiotherapy,and chemotherapy,face limitations in effectiveness due to the adaptability and mutability of cancer cells.Endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS)plays a complex dual role in the occurrence and development of cancer,facilitating both the survival and proliferation of cancer cells and potentially inducing cell death.Re-cent studies suggest that ERS induces pyroptosis in tumor cells through multiple molecular mechanisms,thus in-tervening in tumor initiation and progression.This article reviews the research progress on ERS-mediated pyrop-tosis in cancer treatment and explores the potential for developing new anti-cancer therapeutic strategies through the regulation of ERS and pyroptosis pathways.关键词
