摘要

Abstract

[Objective]This study aimed to reveal the physiological changes of seed storage and explore the optimal storage time of Lycoris radiata seeds.[Method]Mature fresh seeds were stored in 4℃refrigerator and taken out on the day 0,day 15,day 30,day 45 and day 60,and the moisture content,vitality,germination rate and the relative contents of internal substances(soluble sugar,soluble protein,hydrogen peroxide and superoxide ani-on,endogenous hormones),as well as the activities of antioxidant enzymes were measured.[Result]The seed moisture content,seed vitality,soluble sugars,ABA,GA3,ZR,H2O2 and O2.-were decreased with the extension of storage time,while the contents of soluble protein,IAA and the activities of the three antioxidant enzymes showed increased trends.(2)After 30 days of storage,the seeds were slightly dehydrated(the moisture content was ap-proximately 62%),the endogenous ABA content was significantly reduced,while the germination rate was signif-icantly increased(up to 90.00%).(3)During the storage period,the germination rate of seeds was significantly negatively correlated with the moisture content,endogenous ABA and seed viability.Seed viability was extremely negatively correlated with CAT enzyme activity,while GA3 was significantly positively correlated with the solu-ble sugar content.[Conclusion]Fresh L.radiata seeds should not be sown immediately after harvesting,and mod-erate low-temperature storage(4℃for 30 days)can effectively improve germination rate,which may be related to moderate dehydration and a significant reduction in endogenous ABA in the seeds,however,long-term storage will significantly reduce their germination ability.
