Advances in Photosynthetic Characteristics of Horticultural Crop Germplasm Resources

Abstract
Photosynthesis is the process by which organisms utilize solar energy to synthesize organic compounds from carbon dioxide(CO2)and water,releasing oxygen.Since its discovery,research on plant photosynthesis has remained a central focus in agricultural efforts to en-hance productivity.Numerous studies have demonstrated a significant correlation between photosynthetic characteristics and the yield of horti-cultural crops,but obvious differences in photosynthetic traits exist among horticultural crops of different genera and species.Based on existing research findings on the photosynthetic characteristics of horticultural crop germplasm resources,this paper reviews the effects of leaf age,phe-notypic traits,photosynthetic capacity,and photodamage defense ability on the photosynthetic characteristics of horticultural crop germplasm resources,and prospects the future research directions,so as to provide a reference for the evaluation of photosynthetic characteristics of horti-cultural crop germplasm resources.关键词
