Abstract
This study assessed the burnability of 75 common tree species in Sichuan Province.Burning tests were conducted on fresh branches of each tree species through simulated burning tests,and the burnability of each tree species was comprehensively assessed from multiple indi-cators using principal component analysis.The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in the combustibility among different tree species.Some tree species,such as Pinus massoniana,Quercus semecarpifolia,Eucalyptus grandis and Picea asperata have high flammability,while others,such as Juglans regia,Cornus capitata,Prunus salicina,Prunus avium have low flammability.Measures should be taken to prevent fires from occurring and spreading in the case of tree species with high flammability.As for tree species with lower flammabili-ty,they can be used as potential fire prevention species to increase the fire resistance of forests.The results of this study not only help to better understand the risk of forest fires in Sichuan Province but also provide a scientific basis for forest fire prevention.关键词
