Effects of the Xuan-Opening Sinew-Regulation Method on Low Back Pain,Lumbar Function,and Inflammatory Levels in Patients with Acute Lumbar Facet Joint Disorder Syndrome

Abstract
Objective:Exploring the effects of the Xuan-Opening Sinew-Regulation method on low back pain,lumbar function,and inflammatory levels in patients with acute lumbar facet joint disorder syndrome.Methods:Ninety patients with acute lumbar small joint disorder syndrome admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to March 2023 were divided into 45 cases each in the control group and the observation group based on the randomized numerical table method.The control group was treated with oral Loxopro-fen Sodium and lumbar oblique-puling reduction therapy.The observation group,in addition to the treatments received by the con-trol group,underwent acupuncture at Houxi(S13)to unblock the Xuan portals(subtle orifices)and regulate the sinews,acupuncture at lumbar Ashi points to unblock the Xuan portals,dispel stasis,and dredge collaterals,as well as cupping along the Bladder Merid-ian to open the Xuanfu(subtle portals)and promote circulation.The clinical efficacy,lumbar spine function,lumbar pain score,qual-ity of life,and inflammatory factor level before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effec-tive rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);after treatment,the JOA scores and SF-36 scores of the patients in both groups were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the JOA scores and SF-36 scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).After treatment,the ODI scores and VAS scores of patients in both groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and the ODI scores and VAS scores of the ob-servation group after treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-6,TNF-α,and CRP in both groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of IL-6,TNF-α,and CRP in the observa-tion group after treatment were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:For acute lumbar facet joint disorders,the Xuan-Opening Sinew-Regulation method,specifically combining acupuncture at Houxi(S13)and lumbar Ashi points with cupping along the Bladder Meridian demonstrates significant advantages when added to conventional therapy.This approach exerts effects such as unblocking the Xuan portals,regulating sinews,dispelling stasis,and dredging collaterals,effectively alleviat-ing pain while promoting functional recovery and rehabilitation of the lumbar spine.关键词
