基于改进SSA-VMD算法的脉搏波信号处理方法

Abstract
Objective Photoplethysmography(PPG)can provide important physiological information and has a wide range of application prospects in convenient medical equipment,but it is susceptible to environmental influences and introduces electromyoelectric interference and baseline drift during PPG signal acquisition.In order to reduce the noise interference in PPG signals,this paper proposes an algorithm based on improved variational mode decomposition(VMD)to reduce the noise of PPG signals.Methods Firstly,the sparrow search algorithm(SSA)is used to determine the optimal values of the two parameters in variational modal decomposition(VMD).Secondly,multiple intrinsic mode functions(IMF)are generated by VMD decomposition of PPG signals,and the IMF with baseline drift noise is reconstructed by empirical mode decomposition(EMD)to remove noise.Finally,the appropriate IMF is selected by the noise reduction shaping model for PPG signal reconstruction.Results The superiority of the proposed algorithm is verified,and the analog PPG signal and clinical PPG signal are constructed.The algorithm in this paper is used to reduce the noise of analog PPG signal and clinical PPG signal respectively,and compare it with the noise reduction results of VMD algorithm and EMD algorithm.The simulated PPG signals after noise reduction in this algorithm,root mean square error(RMSE)and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)were 0.0135 and 31.2332,respectively,while the clinical PPG signals after noise reduction by this algorithm were 0.0121 and 33.4354,respectively.Experiments show that the signal-to-noise ratio and root mean square error of PPG signal after noise reduction by the algorithm are better than those of the PPG signal after noise reduction by VMD algorithm and EMD algorithm,and the characteristics of the original PPG signal are well retained while reducing noise.Conclusions The algorithm in this paper has good performance in processing PPG signals,which can effectively remove myoelectric interference and baseline drift in PPG signals,and provide new noise reduction ideas for measuring physiological parameters such as blood oxygen saturation,heart rate,and blood pressure.关键词
