Abstract

The proper number and location of oil and gas metering stations and central processing plants are crucially important for the oil and gas gathering and transportation pipeline network.Previous studies have been focused on the two-level star structures.With simple models built,priority is given to algorithms.By considering the maximum capacity of the stations and the constraints imposed by the gathering and transportation radius,this paper investigates the overall layout optimization design problem of a two-level star-shaped gathering and transportation pipeline network in three-dimensional terrains.First,an improved 24 neighborhood alternating forward and backward search A* algorithm is employed to solve the minimum total length of pipelines in three-dimensional terrains,and the inter well distance matrix is obtained.Then,a two-level star-shaped gathering and transportation pipeline network overall optimization model in discrete space is built,minimizing the total investment of the pipeline network.The mixed integer linear programming solver CPLEX is used to solve the problem.The reliability,correctness,and practicality of the model are verified through numerical analysis.The effects of distance constraints and capacity constraints on the solution results are compared.The effectiveness of overall optimization and hierarchical optimization are also compared.Results show the overall optimization model obtains the global optimal solution,and the optimization results are superior to that of the hierarchical optimization.Moreover,its application in actual oilfield blocks achieves good economic returns.
