Research on the Conservation and Maintenance of the Red Building of Peking University
摘要
Abstract
In 2021,the Red Building of Peking University(hereafter referred to as the Red Building)was officially opened to public as the Memorial Hall of the Early Beijing Revolutionary Activities of the Communist Party of China.The conservation and restoration project initiated in 2020 was driven by the functional adaptation of the building.Through comprehensive condition surveys,testing,and other means and methods,it was found that there were many factors jeopardizing the structural integrity of the Red Building,and the load-bearing capacity of its existing facilities and equipment was systematically evaluated.Subsequently,a series of conservation,maintenance and facility improvement measures were adopted to address these problems to preserving the historical authenticity of the building,to improve its facilities and to maximize its public accessibility.The implementation of this project offers references and help for the conservation and utilization of modern buildings.关键词
