城市地表温度与下垫面关系的时空分异特征及其对缓解热岛效应的启示
Spatiotemporal variations of the relationship between urban land surface temperature and ground surface and implications for mitigating surface heat island
摘要
Abstract
Understanding the relationship between land surface temperature(LST)and ground surface is essential for mitigating urban heat island.In this study,the spatiotemporal variations of the relationship between LST and ground surface metrics indicated by normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI),modified normalized difference water index(MNDWI),normalized difference built-up index(NDBI)and bare soil index(BSI)were explored with the usage of correlation analysis and geographically weighted regression(GWR)models.A typical area in Qingdao City,Shandong province was taken as a case study.Typical scenes of the relationship between LST and ground surface was discussed.Accordingly,factors that may affect LST except for ground surface were also analyzed.The results show"heat islands"are located in schools,parks and squares,while"cold islands"are mainly generated in upscale residential quarters and areas covered by large-scale water bodies and hills.Negative relations of LST to NDVI and MNDWI and positive relations of LST to NDBI and BSI are generally observed.The relationship between LST and ground surface is significantly variable in time and space.Vegetations and water bodies show great non-linear effects on LST.Human activities such as heat emissions and watering,building shadow,types of vegetations and the phenology,special architectural materials,topography and wind are major factors leading to spatiotemporal heterogeneous relation of LST to ground surface through shaping local LST.Systematic study on the micro relation of LST to ground surface with the expectation of fully identifying factors affecting LST,revealing the impact process and mechanism on LST,and improving the strategies for mitigating urban heat island from the perspectives of restricting intensive urban development,adopting special construction materials,promoting artificial cooling activities and improving cooling ability of natural elements,are advocated,which will promote the development of habitable and resilient cities.关键词
