The Application Value of Power Cube STR Cardiopulmonary Function Tester and Pulmonary Ultrasound Score in Evaluating the Severity of Pediatric Pneumonia

Abstract
Objective:To analyze the value of PowerCub-STR cardiopulmonary function test combined with pulmonary ultrasound score in evaluating the severity of pneumonia in children.Methods:From January 2021 to September 2023,128 cases of pediatric pneumonia were selected and divided into a severe group(n=47)and a non severe group(n=81)according to the severity of the condition.The PowerCube-STR cardiopulmonary function tester was used to measure the percentage of expiratory volume after forced deep breathing in the first second(FEV1%),maximum ventilation volume per minute(MVV),residual volume(RV),and pulmonary ultrasound score.The ultrasound examination of the lungs was performed using an ultrasound instrument,and the pulmonary ultrasound evaluation was evaluated based on the severity of the imbalance between lung gas water ratio.Spearman analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between FEV1%,MVV,RV,and pulmonary ultrasound scores and the severity of pediatric pneumonia.ROC curve analysis was used to evaluate their impact on pediatric severe pneumonia.The diagnostic value of pneumonia.Results:Compared with the non severe group,the FEV1%and MVV were significantly reduced in the severe group(P<0.05),while RV and pulmonary ultrasound scores were significantly increased(P<0.05).Spearman analysis showed that FEV1%and MVV were negatively correlated with the severity of pediatric pneumonia(P<0.05),while RV and pulmonary ultrasound scores were positively correlated with the severity of pediatric pneumonia(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that FEV1%,MVV,RV,pulmonary ultrasound score,and AUC for the combined diagnosis of severe pneumonia in children were 0.774,0.763,0.741,0.719,and 0.960,respectively.At the optimal critical value,the sensitivity and specificity of the combined diagnosis of the four were 87.2%and 90.1%,respectively,which were better than single indicators.Conclusion:FEV1%,MVV,RV and pulmonary ultrasound score are correlated with the severity of pediatric pneumonia.The combination of the four has high diagnostic value for severe pneumonia in children,which helps to more accurately evaluate the condition and develop treatment plans in clinical practice.关键词
