Abstract

Objective:To explore the value of speckle tracking echocardiography(STE)technology in evaluating left atrial function and prognosis in patients with subclinical severe aortic stenosis(SAS).Methods:Sixty asymptomatic SAS patients with preserved ejection fraction from January 2020 to February 2022 were included and followed up for at least 24 months to record the occurrence of major cardiovascular adverse events(MACE).Conventional ultrasound is used to obtain left atrial volume index(LAVI),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),and Doppler evaluation obtain E/E';STE technology measured the reserve function(LASr),conduit function(LAScd),and pump function(LASct)of the left atrium.Results:There were significant differences in parameters such as E/E',LASr,LAScd,and LASct between the group of patients with MACE(Group A)and the group of patients without MACE(Group B).Multivariate binary Logistic regression analysis showed that these parameters are all influencing factors of MACE events.ROC curve analysis further confirms the value of E/E',LASr,LAScd and LASct in predicting MACE.Conclusion:STE technology can effectively evaluate left atrial function in subclinical SAS patients,and relevant parameters play an important role in predicting patient prognosis.
