Abstract
With the increase of installed capacity of offshore wind power,adoption of highly reliable bipolar topology mode can reduce the power loss during single pole outage.However,its such characteristics as complex wiring,multi-ple equipment,and DC bias voltage withstanding of valve side equipment make the construction cost of the offshore converter station much higher.In this paper,a compact layout scheme for the valve side and DC yard of offshore con-verter stations of flexible DC transformer based on DC GIS equipment is studied and comparison with the full life cy-cle technology and economy index of a mono-polar topology is made.The research results show that the adoption of DC GIS can significantly optimize the size,weight,and cost of bipolar offshore converter stations,remarkably in-crease the offshore distance of the economic balance point throughout the full life cycle,and expand the application scenarios of bipolar topology in large-scale and far-reaching offshore wind power transmission.关键词
