Abstract

In order to extend the service life of asphalt pavement on highways and delay the damage progress of pavement structure,a preventive composite maintenance material suitable for highway maintenance was prepared using modified emulsified asphalt,montmorillonite,and polymer additive as the main raw materials.Its apparent viscosity was measured,and its influence on the comprehensive performance of asphalt mixture was investigated.The results indicate that the apparent viscosity of preventive composite curing materials is high,and it can generate strong bonding forces with asphalt mixtures.As the dosage of preventive composite curing materials gradually increases,the scattering loss rate,water permeability coefficient,and friction coefficient of asphalt mixture specimens gradually decrease.Considering the impact of preventive composite curing materials on the performance of asphalt mixture,the optimal dosage is recommended to be 300 g/m2.At this time,the scattering loss rate of the asphalt mixture is 13.2%,the water permeability coefficient is 6354 mL/min,and the friction coefficient BPN value is 76,which has good anti scattering performance,water permeability performance,and anti-skid performance.In addition,the asphalt mixture specimens treated with preventive composite curing materials also have good anti-aging performance,and the scattering loss rate of the specimens is still less than 15%after aging at 80℃for 12 days.
