Abstract
To investigate the effects of high-content crumb rubber on the performance of modified asphalt and mixtures,the storage stability and high/low-temperature rheological properties of composite modified asphalt with different rubber powder contents(20%,30%,40%)and 3%SBS were evaluated through segregation test,DSR and BBR tests.A series of laboratory tests,including rutting test and low-temperature beam bending test,were conducted to verify the pavement performance of the composite modified asphalt mixtures.The results indicated that appropriate amounts of rubber powder combined with 3%SBS improved storage stability whereas excessive rubber powder reduced it,higher rubber powder contents significantly enhanced the high-temperature and low-temperature rheological properties of the composite modified asphalt while further improving the rutting resistance of the mixtures,and rubber powder contents of 20%~30%enhanced water damage resistance and low-temperature crack resistance of the mixtures but a 40%content adversely impacted performance.Thus considering comprehensive performance,a rubber powder content of 30%is recommended.关键词
