Abstract

Taking the flue gas of a coal-fired circulating fluidized bed boiler in a power plant as the research object,the wet desulfurization of calcium carbide slag-gypsum was utilized to treat the flue gas.The main factors affecting the oxidation of calcium sulfite in the slurry were investigated.The experimental results show that with boiler load of 46-105 t/h and the normally operated desulfurization system,the calcium sulfite,chloride ion content,and slurry density in the slurry of the oxidation tower were higher than those in the absorption tower,while the pH is close.Increasing the oxidation air pressure will increase the amount of air entering the absorption tower,which is conducive to the oxidation of calcium sulfite in the slurry.When the pH is in the range of 6.17-7.68,the concentration of HSO3-in the slurry of the absorption tower gradually converts to SO32-,interrupting the reaction path between HSO3-and O2,increasing the calcium sulfite content.Therefore,it is recommended to control the pH within 7.68.The slurry density in the absorption tower should not be higher than 1 160 kg/m3 to improve the oxidation of calcium sulfite.
