Abstract
To address the technical bottleneck of simultaneously enhancing the impact resistance and optical properties of polypropylene for steam cooking films,a systematic study was conducted on the influence mechanism of the phase structure of impact copolymer polypropylene on its macroscopic properties.Commercially available impact copolymer polypropylenes GW-1 and GW-2 were selected as research subjects.Through multi-scale characterization techniques,the regulation laws of ethylene propylene rubber phase content and size distribution on material properties were revealed.It was found that the rubber phase size of GW-1 was less than 0.4 μm,resulting in excellent optical properties with a haze of only 2.1%(for 30 μm film),and GW-1 had a higher crystallinity and relatively lower ethylene propylene rubber content,thus having a higher flexural modulus.GW-2,on the other hand,exhibited higher impact resistance due to its higher ethylene propylene rubber content(16.2%)and larger rubber phase size(predominantly 0.4~0.6 μm).关键词
