Abstract

This study was conducted to improve the yield and efficiency of winter potato planting under potato-rice rotation.'Zhongshu 5'and'Favorita'were planted under the zero nitrogen mode(N0),conventional mode(FP),high-yield and high-efficiency mode(HH),and ultrahigh-yield mode(SH).The growth traits,yield,and quality of potato were compared among different planting modes.The results showed that both potato varieties had lower plant height,leaf area index,biomass,total yield,and commodity rate under the N0 mode than under other modes.HH and SH modes with increased plant density and nitrogen application increased the number of main stems,leaf area index,and biomass accumulation.Under HH and SH modes,'Zhongshu 5'showed the yields of 33 760.20 kg/hm2 and 32 293.95 kg/hm2,and'Favorita'achieved the yields of 28 021.35 kg/hm2 and 30 001.20 kg/hm2,respectively.However,the difference in potato yield between HH and SH modes was not significant,and the plant density and nitrogen application under the HH mode were lower than those under the SH mode.After comprehensive consideration,we recommend the HH mode of potato planting under potato-rice rotation.
