Abstract
To build a modern irrigation district ch aracterized by"efficient water conservation,well-developed infrastructure,scientific management,and sound ecology,"a combined design model of irrigation and drainage canals(ditches)was adopted.Using the supporting and water-saving renovation project of the Tulingzhuang irrigation district in Jieshou City as an example,site-specific measures were implemented,including rebuilding pump stations,upgrading main water conveyance canals,im-proving supporting canal structures,and rehabilitating obstructed ditches.These efforts aimed to establish an integrated irriga-tion and drainage system structured around"water lifting-water conveyance-water storage-drainage,"ultimately achieving the goals of enhancing water supply capacity and ensuring the smooth operation of the main irrigation and drainage canal(ditch)system.The canal(ditch)connected to multiple branch ditches is designated as the main water conveyance channel.By regulat-ing the sluice gates of each branch canal(ditch),both irrigation and drainage functions are achieved.Taking into account both irrigation and drainage conditions,the canal(ditch)cross-section is designed based on the larger flow rate,while coordinating the canal(ditch)bed elevation and sluice gate base elevation under both conditions.The design water surface profile is calcu-lated from the downstream end to the upstream end to ensure an adequate water supply reliability for each branch canal,while also maintaining the canal(ditch)water level below the ground surface to prevent soil salinization,thereby achieving an optimal water surface profile.This design model can serve as a reference for similar supporting and water-saving renovation projects in irrigation districts in plain areas.关键词
