白僵菌素产量对蝉花虫草侵染斜纹夜蛾的致病性影响
Effects of the production of beauvericin on pathogenicity of Cordyceps chanhua infecting Spodoptera litura

Abstract
As a globally distributed agroforestry pest,twill armyworm Spodoptera litura exhibits strong fecundity and rapid outbreak potential.Its occurrence can lead to significant losses in agroforestry production and the maintenance of ecological environments.Cordyceps chanhua mycelium and fruiting bodies contain a diverse array of secondary metabolites,including beauvericin(BEA)and enniatins(ENNs),which exhibit potent insecticidal properties against various lepidopteran species and other pests.This study explored the pathogenic effect of C.chanhua on S.litura,and further clarified the toxins and pathogenic genes related to the pathogenesis of C.chanhua,so as to provide a reference for the study of the mechanism responsible for pathogenicity of C.chanhua against S.litura.The laboratory bioassay method of C.chanhua spore suspension immersion was used to detect the pathogenicity of C.chanhua against S.litura.PP558224 histone deacetylase gene related to the synthesis of beauvericin in C.chanhua was knocked out to verify the relationship between the production of beauvericin in C.chanhua and its pathogenicity.The research shows that the C.chanhua spore suspension has a certain pathogenic effect on the second-instar larvae of S.litura.After knocking out the PP558224 gene,the content of beauvericin in C.chanhua was significantly reduced.Compared with the wild-type strain,the knock-out strains of C.chanhua showed remarkable reduction of pathogenic effect on the second-instar larvae of S.litura,indicating that the beauvericin plays an important role in the pathogenicity of C.chanhua,and the content of beauvericin is positively correlated with the pathogenicity.关键词
