辽穆宗皇后萧氏的塑造性书写
Shaping writing of empress XIAO of LIAO Muzong
摘要
Abstract
The surviving historical records concerning empress XIAO,consort of emperor Muzong of the Liao Dynasty,contain numerous omissions and inconsistencies.Through a methodological framework of textual analysis and critical source tracing applied to records of empress XIAO,this study demonstrates that the biographical accounts in both the Liao Shi(History of Liao)and Qidan Guo Zhi(Records of the Khitan State)are fabrications based on mainland Chinese folklore.This textual unreliability thus raises doubts about the very existence of empress XIAO.A thorough investigation into emperor Muzong's unique political circumstances reveals that he never formally appointed an empress during his reign,and the so-called empress XIAO is a historical fabrication.The research findings provide critical reference value for studies on empress XIAO of LIAO Muzong's consort.关键词
