A New Model for Joint Disorders Research:Construction and Application of Cartilaginous Organoids

Abstract
Cartilage injuries and degenerative diseases severely affect patients'quality of life.The repair and regeneration of cartilage have long been challenges in the field of tissue engineering.The unique extracellular matrix and mechanical stimuli present significant challenges for cartilage repair and regeneration.As a new model system,organoids can more realistically simulate the com-plex biological characteristics of organs or tissues in vivo,making them an important tool for studying disease mechanisms and evaluat-ing treatment strategies.This review summarizes the methods for constructing cartilage organoids,including the sources of seed cells,three-dimensional culture techniques,and the application of biomaterials,as well as the value of cartilage organoids in drug screening and disease mechanism research.It also discusses the current limitations and challenges of cartilage organoids,aiming to provide a ref-erence for the construction of cartilage organoid models and their clinical translation in joint disease research.关键词
