Research Advances in the Fundamental Mechanisms and Clinical Intervention Strategies for Tendon Injury Repair

Abstract
Tendon injury is a prevalent musculoskeletal disorder,particularly common among athletes and the elderly.With the increasing participation in sports activities and the acceleration of population aging,the incidence of tendon injuries has been rising annually.The tendon repair process is typically complex due to the limited blood supply and inherent self-repair capacity of tendon tis-sues,often resulting in delayed healing,incomplete regeneration,and a higher risk of re-injury post-damage.Currently,there is no standardized treatment protocol for tendon injuries.Emerging therapeutic approaches include growth factor and cytokine therapies,stem cell treatments,physical therapy and rehabilitation training,as well as biomaterial-assisted repair,each of which presents cer-tain limitations.Cutting-edge technologies such as gene editing,advanced polymer materials,and bio-3D printing hold promising prospects in this field,with multidisciplinary integration particularly facilitating advancements in tendon repair.Despite notable prog-ress,achieving high-quality tendon repair continues to face technical challenges and clinical obstacles.Future efforts must focus on collaborative innovation to enhance treatment strategies,thereby providing more effective clinical solutions.关键词
